SESRIC delegation, led by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, participated in the 2025 Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Annual Meetings under the theme “Diversifying Economies, Enriching Lives”, held on 19-22 May 2025 in Algiers.

The 2025 IsDB Group Annual Meetings focused on skills and solutions for youth employability, digital solutions for empowering SMEs, advancing digital transformation for enhancing financial inclusion in Islamic Finance, promoting intra-OIC trade, fostering South-South cooperation, and implementing diversification strategies for sustainable development.

The Annual Meetings commenced with the Welcoming Remarks by Dr Issa FAYE, Director General for Global Practices and Partnerships at the IsDB, and H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim TAHA, OIC Secretary General.

Following the Opening Session, the IsDB High-Level Launch Event titled “The Innovative Matchmaking Platform for South-South Cooperation (SSC)” took place with the live demonstration of the said platform. The platform was officially launched by H.E. Dr. Muhammed Sulaiman AL-JASSER, Chairman of the IsDB Group, and H.E. Abdelkarim BOUZRED, Minister of Finance of Algeria.

The annual meetings also featured side events with a focus on knowledge sharing on sustainable development within the OIC.

On the sidelines of the IsDB Group Annual Meetings, the SESRIC delegation also held meetings with participating delegates and various national institutions to strengthen the existing ties and explore new avenues of collaboration.

The meetings presented a valuable opportunity to discuss the shared vision on sustainable development across the OIC Member Countries.
