SESRIC Participated in First Public Finance Forum on Public Debt Management in Istanbul

SESRIC was pleased to participate in the inaugural Public Finance Forum on "Public Debt Management in a Changing World: Sustainable Strategies to Face Global Economic Challenges", which took place on 18–19 June 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Organised as part of the activities of the Sharjah Award for Public Finance, the Forum brought together high-level experts, policymakers, and financial leaders from across the globe to explore forward-looking strategies for managing public debt amid growing global economic uncertainty.
Representing SESRIC at the Forum, Dr. Ipek Dedeoglu delivered a presentation titled “Navigating Global Headwinds: Economic Outlook and Key Challenges for OIC Member Countries.” Her session highlighted critical macroeconomic trends, emerging risks, and fiscal challenges facing the countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), while offering insights into sustainable debt management approaches in the context of global financial shifts.
The Forum served as a platform to foster dialogue, share experiences, and promote innovation in public finance, aligning with SESRIC’s ongoing commitment to supporting capacity building and policy development among OIC member states.
