SESRIC delegation, led by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK participated in the Malaysia–Tajikistan MoU Signing Ceremony held on 4 March 2026 at the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the UN on the margins of the 57^th Session of the UN Statistical Commission in New York.

Congratulating both institutions for the partnership in the field of official statistics between two countries, H.E. SELÇUK underlined the importance of regional cooperation as well as collaboration among the OIC Countries. She has also expressed the readiness of SESRIC facilitating statistical activities for the success of the partnership.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Jamshed NURMAHMADZODA, Director of the Agency on Statistics under President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Dr. Mohd Uzir MAHIDIN, Chief Statistician of Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM). The MoU between the DOSM and the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, aimed at exchanging experience in the use of information technologies and new data sources for the production of official statistics, including the digitalization of statistical activities, the application of information technologies in data collection, and the use of big data in statistical research.
