SESRIC, as the Executing Organ of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for Member Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-VET), hosted the Fifth OIC-VET Consultative Meeting on 9 April 2026.

The meeting was conducted in Arabic through an online video conferencing platform. It brought together 40 representatives from Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Authorities and relevant national institutions in nine Arabic-speaking OIC countries.

The meeting focused on the draft Strategic Roadmap for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in OIC Member States for 2035. SESRIC presented the draft of the Roadmap, while participants outlined specific challenges facing their respective countries. Discussions addressed key priority areas, including governance and funding, quality, and impact, and intra-OIC cooperation. Participants also provided their feedback on the Roadmap.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to continue exchanging best practices and experiences to support the implementation of the Roadmap.
