H.E. Nusura TIPERU, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the Republic of Türkiye, and Prof. Ismail Simbwa GYAGENDA, Rector of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC’s Headquarters in Ankara.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on potential areas of cooperation between SESRIC and the Islamic University in Uganda, as well as other relevant national institutions in Uganda. Discussions focused on advancing higher education in Uganda, Islamic finance, social sciences, and market intelligence.

The two sides also explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration through knowledge sharing, institutional capacity development, and evidence-based policymaking, with a view to supporting sustainable development in OIC countries.

The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of SESRIC and Uganda to deepening cooperation and advancing common objectives in line with the priorities of OIC countries.
