Training Course on “Building a Fundamental Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Database”

Date: 05-06 October 2026
Venue: Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei

Within the framework of the SESRIC Occupational Safety and Health Capacity Building Programme (OSH-CaB) and the ASEAN–OSHNET Work Plan 2026–2030, SESRIC will organise a Training Course on “Building a Fundamental Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Database” on 5–6 October 2026 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. The training course will be organised in collaboration with the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of Malaysia for the benefit of experts from the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) of Brunei Darussalam. The training will be delivered by a trainer from NIOSH Malaysia.

The training aims to introduce participants to the fundamentals of building and managing an Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) database, with a view to strengthening data-driven decision-making and evidence-based workplace safety management.

SESRIC launched the Occupational Safety and Health Capacity Building (OSH-CaB) Programme in 2010 to support the efforts of the OIC Member States in improving workplace safety and health, reducing occupational risk of injury and disease.
